"Preserving our history for a brighter future."
Originally home to several Indian tribes, including the Catawba, the Creek, and the Cherokee, Travelers Rest gained notoriety as a stopover for weary travelers and livestock drovers.
The Historical Society presents program meetings at Travelers Rest City Hall, four times a year.
The History Museum is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
